Upload a photo of your aquarium and get an instant estimate of how heavily it is planted: lightly, moderately, or heavily. The analysis runs entirely in your browser, so your photo stays on your device and is never uploaded.

How planting levels are defined

The analyser sorts a tank into three levels based on how much of it is filled with growing plants. These are guidelines, as real tanks sit on a spectrum and the boundaries are softer than the labels suggest.

Planting density also shapes how a tank runs: heavier planting absorbs more waste, so a well-planted tank can support a little more life (worth checking with the stocking calculator) and often needs less frequent water changes.

What it cannot do

The model only knows what it has been shown. It works best on clear, straight-on photos of the whole tank in normal lighting. Side-on shots, heavy glare, strong algae, blurry images, or unusual layouts can confuse it, which is why each result comes with a confidence figure. When the confidence is low, the photo most likely sits between two categories or is hard to read. For a clearer result, use a front-on, well-lit photo that shows the full tank.

Privacy

Your photo never leaves your browser. There is no upload, no server, and no storage. The only thing downloaded is the model itself, which is then reused for every photo you analyse.
